Memories by Candace founder Candace Weir was recently featured in an interview discussing entrepreneurship, risk-taking, and the unexpected journey that transformed her photography business during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As word spread across social media and local neighborhoods, demand for sessions grew rapidly.
What began as a simple effort to serve the community evolved into a turning point for the business. Through hundreds of conversations and photography sessions with local families, Memories by Candace experienced significant growth through referrals and word-of-mouth recommendations. The momentum ultimately allowed Weir to transition into photography full-time and expand her business by hiring an associate photographer.
Today, Memories by Candace continues to serve families, couples, businesses, and organizations throughout Arizona, specializing in family photography, weddings, portraits, and commercial photography. The story serves as a reminder that some of the most meaningful business growth comes from stepping outside of one’s comfort zone and finding ways to serve others during challenging times.
